Eisteddfod 2017

We had the pleasure of holding our school Eisteddfod for all year groups on Friday the 3rd of March 2017.

In addition to the usual Welsh cultural items such as recitation and the choir competition we saw some superbly talented students showcase their talent in a number of on stage competitions. Pupils from a range of year groups worked together both in preparation for the day and on the day itself to provide a very engaging day of music, literary performances and let’s not forget the HAKA competition!

We were extremely privileged to be joined by our guest judge, Mr David Mahoney who has had success with the Classical Brit Award winning group Only Men Aloud.

It was a close competition, but this year, congratulations to Honddu for winning the most points this year.

The main award of the ceremony goes to Tirion Harris as she was crowned Bard of the Eisteddfod. Tirion was accompanied by Cari Morris and Dafydd Edwards to chair her on the stage, where she was draped in our traditional gown.

Llongyfarchiadau mawr Tirion!
