Under 14s Hockey – Brecon Vs Builth – 18th October 2017

The U14 team had their second game of the season at home. It was mainly year 9 with some year 8 players too. The team decided to play without a keeper. From the off, the game ranged back and fore continually from end to end. Builth scored first but Brecon soon retaliated and put 2 past the Builth keeper. Builth  scored a lucky goal from a fast break to equalise. At half time the girls listened carefully to advice and contributed their own ideas and came out fighting hard to score first in the second half, which was followed by a further equaliser. By this time Brecon girls had decided enough was enough and that it was time to ‘stop messing’! They quickly racked up 2 further goals to win 5 – 3. If the team can follow this game with concerted training to polish the team play they could be a force to reckon with!

Players of the match:

Caitlin Davies, Kelsey Williams and Gwen Kenchington.

Other players contributing to this win:

Jess Joseph Jones, Amy Pitt, Amy White, Amy Hellard, Marian Del Guidice, Erin Mitchell, Emily Charles, Emily Prothero, Eran Prosser, Eva Deveney-Billinge, Hannah Marshall and Chloe Jones
